Tim is a service disabled Navy veteran, where he was an enlisted electrician, an NROTC Midshipman and a Surface Warfare Naval Officer before being badly injured and medically discharged as a Lieutenant (O-3).
Tim is an Accredited Agent with the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of the General Council, which allows him to legally assist veterans and their spouses with financial planning and veteran’s benefits applications.
Tim holds a Bachelor’s Degree with honors (Cum Laude) in Geography from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida and a Master’s Degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude) in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. 
He is one of only 16,000 Certified Senior Advisors in the nation and is an Approved Financial Advisor with the National Ethics Bureau. In addition, Tim is one of only 1,100 Certified Estate Planners in the United States and 67 in Texas. Tim is a licensed insurance agent in many states and is an Investment Advisor Representative with Alphastar Capital Management, a SEC Registered Investment Advisor. He completes his continuing education requirements each year to maintain his State license and bond requirements. He is also a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development Certificate Program in Financial Planning.
Tim is the founder and President of Munderloh Financial Group, LLC and previously co-founded American Financial & Retirement Services, LLC and is a well-known financial educator and advisor. His retirement seminars have been widely attended by retirees from all walks of life, including Lockheed Martin, GE, Boeing, Texas Instruments, various school districts and Federal, State and Local Government. He has developed a specialty in providing strong, solid retirement planning for those in or nearing retirement who want to grow and protect their estates for their spouses and loved ones.
Tim was born in Anaheim, California and enlisted in the Navy directly after high school. As an enlisted man he served aboard USS MIDWAY (CV-41) and graduated from the prestigious BOOST college preparatory school in 1991 prior to being awarded an NROTC scholarship. Upon being commissioned as a Naval Officer, Tim served on USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG-53) and USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV-67) and SHIP INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITY (SIMA) MAYPORT, FL.
